Meet The Doctor
Dr
Young S. Seo D.D.S., F.A.G.D.
Dr. Seo studied computer science and engineering at the University of California Los Angeles. After a couple of years of working as a software engineer in Xerox Corp., he decided to change his career significantly with a desire of more direct human interaction and contribution. He joined the United States Navy and finished his dental education from the prestigious University of California San Francisco in 2009. Additionally he completed General Practice Residency in Naval Medical Center San Diego in 2010. After 10 years of faithful naval service, Dr. Seo decided to start private practice with one purpose: provide sound dentistry. In order to accomplish this goal, he pursues continuing education relentlessly so that he can apply his scientific knowledge, judgment and skill set at the highest standard combined with proven modern technology. Furthermore, he became a fellow of Academy of General Dentistry in July 2020. Only 6% of general dentists in the United States have earned this special fellowship.
When he is free, he continues to serve as a reserve member in the United States Navy and enjoys life with his family.

Karthika Kandala D.D.S.
Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Karthika Kandala graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with distinction honors. She then received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the top-ranked University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry where she was awarded the American Association of Public Health Dentistry’s Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health Award. Additionally, she completed a General Practice Residency at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center where she received extensive training in surgical and restorative dentistry and providing care to patients with special healthcare needs. Currently, she is pursuing a Master of Public Health through Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Dr. Kandala is passionate about providing high-quality and ethical dental care and helping patients achieve their optimal oral health. She is committed to continuing education and is an active member of the dental community through the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and San Diego County Dental Society.
During her free time, she enjoys exploring the eateries around San Diego and catching the breathtaking Southern California sunsets with her husband.
